I want to let you know what I understand about this trip to Assisi and the incredible opportunity that is available to all of us at this very special moment in time. Swami’s mission in this life was to bring out the ancient knowledge; not just release it because it’s interesting, but because it is the bridge—the link, the path, the steps between God and humankind.

When Nityaananda, our daughter, Isa, and I, were living with our teacher Sri Kaleshwar in his ashram in Penukonda India, we participated in many traditional events. Most of them were fire ceremonies that were held on full and new moons or other special occasions. This time it was a Durga puja in which Mother Divine was worshipped.

At the front of the brightly lit room was a colorful altar dedicated to Jesus, Mother Mary and Dattatreya. A young, beautiful saint, Sri Kaleshwar, was talking to a group of western students.

I remember the day so well. It would be my first time meeting Sri Kaleshwar, the Indian teacher who gave the beautiful mantra that I practiced during my pregnancy. My son Toby was about 5 months old when Swami came to Seattle for an intimate teaching program at my parents house. I had never meet a Guru before and aside from the list of instructions my mother had given me, I did not know what to expect. I had been instructed to ask him a question when an opportunity arose.

I am an advocate for creating soul nourishment as part of a daily routine, as a way of life. Looking first to the soul and then to the physical attributes of our lives. I dived into it as deep as I could; It was a process. I just progressed singing and playing the song with my guitar in my daily practice. Then finally after five years, the thought came, 'Yes, let's record the song now!'

Female fierceness is not violent or destructive, not when allowed to roam free. Wild, yes. Unpredictable, yes. Dangerous, yes. Ecstatically primal, yes. Scarily intuitive, yes. And more. Yes. The future of Existence is in your womb. Roar without apology. That is how it is supposed to be. Don’t worry about the men. They’ll figure it out. They’ll be okay.
