with Chris Hargrove

A new podcast series from Divine Lineage Center on the sacredness of dying. Chris Hargrove in conversation with Monika of Penukonda explores the process of being present to the extraordinary play of life and death as a hospice worker and healer for those preparing to exit.

The illusion nature of things is that everything is reversed. The yogis have a completely different attitude about death. It’s very liberating to hear their attitude and actually, I’d like to share some of that, something from Baba Muktananda. Here he is talking about how the saints view death, ‘People like me welcome death, much more than life. When you are alive you are subject to so much trouble. You have to eat and drink and talk endlessly. But, when you die, you dissolve into pure being. A man welcomes the repose of sleep compared to the friction of waking. Similarly, a wise yogi prefers a pure deathless being. A yogi may become sick of life but never of death. That is the mark of a true yogi.'
